Thanks for replies. No solution but good to know going forward.

Does anyone know if there's a trick to getting a report to show images when creating a report and sending as an inline HTML message via Report Caster? I tested sending a report, but the images do not display (just the red X noting there is an image).
Inline messages are send through Lotus Notes.

thanks

BobV

That's because Report Caster does not embed the image.

If an image is included as an href the the output file must be opened when
the client is connected to the html server where the image is stored.

The same rules apply to an image in an embeded e-mail generated by caster
as applies for embeding graphs.

Basically Not allowed.

It has to be an attachment that physically embeds the image.

I get messages in my email all the time that seem to fit this description (NewEgg off the top of my head, for one). It seems that HTML formatted messages (as I think your inline report is classified) are displayed as image placeholders since I have a setting checked to not display remote images in HTML messages. When I change this setting (Ctrl + I in my mail client), the images all appear inline.

JG is right, but that is only for a certain class of mail (Octet Encoded I think?).

I wonder if there is any change if you change the setting in you mail client to 'Show images'?
