Is there a way to conditionally hide a panel on an HTML filter panel based on a user's security group? We have a filter panel designed in AS and used by many clients in a portal and their security groups define what database they have access to. One client we have requires a filter that none of the other clients require so we want to only show that option on the HTML panel when the specific client logs in. Is that possible?

Seems your set up is the same as ours.

You will need to get the security group to the HTML page, then hide the control.

Or, for a lot of our cases, we have a fex that determines which HTML page to show according to the security group, so it can be custom.

Waz...

John,

Is your page accessed via a portal? You could create 2 filter pages from AppStudio, 1 w/extra filter for the 1 client that needs it, and the other w/o it. Then just create 2 similar portal pages and secure each based on Security Center domain groups. The one only populating if the one client logs in, and the other if any of the others do.

If you're not sharing the page via a portal, there isn't any built-in functionality to designate panel-level Security Center access. Something you might submit an NFR for. You can try to grab the user login ID or security group via the site.wfs custom settings variables if their exposed to the environment from the Admin Console. Add some logic where ever appropriate to check who logs in beforehand. Something to look into.

Good luck!
