We're currently in the process of migrating to 8.2 (currently on 8.1). With the migration, the user base has asked us to include a feature for the PDF reports to contain form fields including a place for digital signatures.
My search showed some people use Foxit with Webfocus to accomplish this. I'm not very PDF-savvy so I was hoping somebody can give me a quick description of your Webfocus system set-up with Foxit and how procedures are made to work with it. I hope to have somewhere to start researching this method. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

I suspect that form fields and a digital signature will prove hard to combine. After all, changing form field values will render the checksum of the digital signature over the document invalid.
Or are they requesting an electronic signature (an attached image that someone penned over)?

All I need to do in Webfocus is produce a PDF document with fillable form fields and a signature field and save the document to the LAN. That's the end of the Webfocus process.
The users open the file, fill the form, affix a digital signature, and send the document to the client all outside of the Webfocus system.
I'm interested in where this goes, as we too have some PDF reports that really ought to be digitally signed.
As I understand it, this normally involves sending the document to a server that attaches the signature, handles validation of the local certificate, etc. It doesn't sound too hard once you have the infrastructure in place.
How to add form fields, I have no idea. I wasn't even aware of that feature of PDF until you asked about it.
