Hi All, suppose there is a report created using App Studio and available in Development and Production. Now I need to track that when was the report last run/executed from anywhere(Dashboard/Launch Page/App Studio/URL) so that I can decide weather the report is in use or obsolete. Please advise if there is any logging maintained for such information in App Studio. Thanks in advance...This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,
Thanks Frans but I am not sure about Resource Analyser. Can you please guide me where I can check it or install it in case it is not already installed. Thanks again...
Sure, in App studio on the top right you can click reporting Server Console. This opens a browser where you need to go to the tab Resource management (if it does not exists you may not have a license for it. If configured, you will find reports there, else you have to configure first.
You need to be licensed ($$$) to use Resource Analyzer (RA). RA is a great tool but IMHO I found that it collect too many information for what I normally need (number of execution in a time line) and depending of your environment (usage), the RA DB size may increase very fast and may need maintenance.
Another option is to create your own execution tracking "system". What you need is to have a fex that will be executed each time before any other report execution (from a profile or a fex include per example) that will grab the report info and save it as in a text file, a focus or SQL table. Using that method you can define what ever and only what you want as stored info.

There is also a new offering called the Enterprise Usage Monitor that reads the edaprint log and reports on individual users usage. It is an extra cost feature but just wanted you to be aware of it as a solution also.
Thank you for using Focal Point!
