Hi,

We are using Maneger Reporting to create our application. So, when we run the application, after the login page, the tab name is "Web Focus Business Intelligence".

We were wondering if there is a way to change the title of this tab?

Assistance is appreciated.

Thanks,

I assume you mean "Business Intelligence Dashboard" when you specify "Maneger Reporting to create our application".

The default web browser title for a B.I. Dashboard window is "WebFOCUS Business Intelligence Dashboard". This can be customized by editing file WORP_Layout.jsp located in directory\ibi\WebFOCUS77\webapps\webfocus\worp\jsp:

Change

<TITLE><%=sTitle%></TITLE>

To

<TITLE>Your Custom Name Here</TITLE>

Remember to make a backup of the WORP_Layout.jsp file and also that you will have to make this change after every upgrade.

Hi Francis,

Thanks for the reply. But modifying WORP_Layout.jsp changes the title of all the applications created in the Group View.

In Group View, i have around 8 applications and each of them have different links and serve different purpose. And when they load i want the tab to have the respective name of that particular application.

When i changed the title in WORP_layout.jsp to , the "My Custom Title" shows up in the tab for all the group view applications. Whereas i want all the applicatiosn to have different title.

Is there a possibility to do the above?

Assisstance is appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Anuja,

Try inserting the following in the HEAD of your HTML file that's being loaded:

<SCRIPT type=text/javascript>parent.parent.parent.document.title='Your title here';</SCRIPT>

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the assistance. It seems to work.

But now, i had changed WORP_Layout.jsp for the title change as was suggested in the 1st solution by Francis. Had made it, <Smart-Edge>
Then, I changed WORP_Layout back to remove my cusotmized title. This is how the title field looks like: <%=sTitle%>

But even then, the title on my other applications is still Smart-Edge??
Has this title have been copied to some other file from which it is reading? It seems so though...
Please let me know how to revert back this change.

Assistance is always appreciated.

Thanks,
