All this time when we were setting up a new environment for WebFocus, we thought that the Reporting Server should be powerful as it does majority of the work.
Right now with the introduction of InfoAssist, we heard Application Server should also be powerful.
What resources does InfoAssist use? Do we need to beef up the Application server for better performance of InfoAssist?

Moving to 7.6.10 sped up InfoAssist performance for us. It's still not as speedy as we'd like, though. Your PC power will also affect InfoAssist performace. There is a lot of BIA going on behind the scenes that play better on a more powereful PC.
To answer your question directly, beefing up your application server, your PC's, and moving to 7.6.10 will all speed up InfoAssist.

I am using Application server/Webfocus server on same machine. My infoassis performance is great. If the DB server & application sever have fast connection between them that will help you too while running the reports that will be produced using infoassist.
