I am working on a composer html page that a contractor originally created. I noticed that when he created a frame that executes a graph fex, that he used the chart option via dev studio. By doing this when the chart initially loads it does not accept the default parameters on the page. All the parameters are blank and the fex has to find what the default parametrs should be. When the run button is clicked on it does pass on the correct parameters.

My questions is that if I use a regular frame and create the hyperlink to execute the graph fex. The proper parameters are passed a load time. Is there a reason to use the graph option when creating a frame for a graph versus the regular frame option?

I want to use the regular frame option unless there is a good reason not to.

Thanks

Hi Jay,

I've consulted with a Graph expert on this. Does this reproduce with Report? If so, it's related to the HTML Composer rather than being specific to Graph.

Regards,

Kathryn

No it just creates a graph. I redid the composer and made it use a frame and it worked. I just was wondering which way was better or faster. Or why you would use one or the other!

Hi Jay,

I'm glad that you were able to get this to work using a different method. If you would like to work with us more on the original method, please open a case on InfoResponse Online.

Thanks and regards,

Kathryn
