In C# .NET we would need to be able to run a report and save it on the server as a PDF document and then we would attach that PDF in an email we send. Has anyone done this or could anyone tell me the best approach to doing this.

amongst the usings, and then in the body:

MailMessage mail = new MailMessage();
mail.To = "me@mycompany.com";
mail.From = "you@yourcompany.com";
mail.Subject = "this is the e-mail title";

This is really a C# .net question and really ought to be targetted at an appropriate forum.

However, an alternative might be CDONTS - a bit archaic but it works.

This is standard functionality when using ReportCaster with ReportCaster Web Services.

I'm not sure if you're currently using ReportCaster.

ReportCaster Web Services is licensed under the WebFOCUS Web Services Enablement option.

I just tried it from a VB.NET application.
It works like a charm.
C# should work exactly the same.
