We keep getting these in our edaprint files...
12/18/2007 02:07:02 (FOC198) FATAL ERROR IN DATABASE I/O. FOCUS TERMINATING ERROR WRITING
12/18/2007 02:07:02 LCACHE99, PAGE 1, CODE 0xffffffff

We lost reportcaster around noon yesterday, and there was one of these errors just before. The server was rebooted last night around midnight, some of the past due processes ran, then this morning between 1:30 and 2:30am reportcaster stopped running again. (we have a task set to run at 2:30 that didn't run, as with all other processes) there were more of the same error in the edaprint around 2am.

What does it mean?

Prod: Single Windows 2008 Server running Webfocus 7.7.03 Reporting server Web server IIS6/Tomcat, AS400 DB2 database.

This is a space issue. FOCUS/WebFOCUS defaults to a certain size for hold file and work files, such as those required for sorting. You are exceeding the limit in allocated space.
