I need to align heading text with column titles. The top line of the column titles is a sequential letter. The heading text contains simple formulas that can be used to verify the accuracy of the column totals. The formulas in the heading text should span pairs of columns, as illustrated below:

  
A         B + C = A             D + E = A             F + G = C             H + I = B
A      B             C       D             E       F             G       H             I

How can the heading text be positioned this way?

What is the format of the output? If it's HTML or Excel you can setup the 1st line (A ... B + C = A ... D + E = A) as a HEADING line and use the COLSPAN on the OBJECTs while the 2nd line (A B C D E F) is the actual TITLE for the associated COLUMN with the desired JUSTIFY=xxx.

One way is to use the HEADING as:
