I am getting the following error when scheduling a report in Report Caster to be sent Via E-mail.
I have made a distribution list with 2 people.
I have other distribution lists that work. I have deleted and made this one again...and still get the error. I looked under Knowledge Base Search and there is one mention of this error, but the answer made no sense. Anyone have any clues?

Unable to retrieve data for the distribution list

Hi Prarie.

I spoke to our resident ReportCaster wiz and per his advice, we suggest that you contact Tech Support as they will be able to help you quickly.

We recommend contacting our support personnel on issues like these that require more detail on your installed products, versions, and configuration.

Maybe someone can offer insight to this problem from the forum, but you can get much quicker results by contacting our support personnel.

Prairie, i had this problem once, when i was first setting up RC5, and it was because my dist list name was two words, not one.
I had to rename the list as one word, 'MY_LIST', worked, by opening the list and save as the new name. then it worked fine.
Does your list name perhaps have a blank in it?

As I said, maybe someone from the forum can give you insight and Susannah is certainly Focal Point's ReportCaster wiz. Hopefully this helps.

No there are no blanks in the name of the list.

ReportCaster Log file shows message in red color: "Unable to retrieve data for the distribution list". I've changed "Default Processing for No Report to Distribute" from Error to Warning and restarted Distribution server. It worked for few days (I didn't see those error messages in Log file for few days). Now messages coming again. I didn't make any changes to WebFocus & ReportCaster settings.
