Each project is associated with a .gfa file.
These are located in the associated folder under the APPS folder.

Delete the .gfa file and the project will disappear when you do a refresh
or restart Dev Studio.

I've found that if a project (.gfa) contains a folder that is not found on the server, I get the invalid project message. Once either the .gfa's allocations are corrected, the project is valid again. Right click on the .gfa and select Properties, Directores to clean up the allocations.
