In the documentation for IA+ it states "FOCUS is the only format that supports an index field. The maximum number of fields to index is four. If the file format is FOCUS, then Index appears on the Query pane." when I originally read this I assumed it meant per hold but it appears to be per FEX.
Is this by design? Does app studio have these same limitations? Thanks. This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,

The HOLD FORMAT FOCUS INDEX syntax has a 4 Index limit per TABLE/HOLD. App Studio seems to allow 4 per TABLE request as well. However, you're correct, it seems the limitation has been implemented differently in IA+. You can have only 4 Index fields for the entire session. I'm not sure why that limitation would exist exclusively in IA+ since technically, you could open the report in Text Editor and add your additional Index fields manually. I'd be curious what IB Tech Support has to say about this.
