My user needs to UPLOAD an Excel/CSV file with 1 Column to be used as a Parameter in an HTML File. Example file will contain Acct.Numbers as such:
123,
456,
789

The WHERE clause will be as such:

WHERE ACCT_NUMBER IN ('123','456','789)

Yes it can be done. Upload their data file to an app server, in their app path, and use that in your IN FILE selection criteria...

So, what we are trying to do is have the user UPLOAD one column of values from Excel into an EDIT BOX on the HTML form so it can pass to FEX to be used in the WHERE Clause..Therefore, we need this to be as easy as possible for the user.

please keep in mind that the number of values you can put in a WHERE is limited.

Danger of SQL-buffer overload. ( maximum number of characters allowed in SQL statement ).
Either by the RDMS or Adapter or ODBC or whatever.

WHERE TESTVAL IN ( here a lot of comma separated values );

Perhaps you'll need to join ( or match ) the uploaded file with a complete set of all data...
