I have this application, that if I have a value for a variable I would like to display that variable. If I do not have a value I would not like to display that variable. The code that I have does this, but It creates a blank row. Rather than not being shown to the screen at all. Please see below for code:

  DISPLAYDATE/YYMD=IF APPROVAL_DATE1 GE TWODAYSPRIOR THEN APPROVAL_DATE1 ELSE '';

Since I added '' it shows a blank box. I would like it to show nothing.

Add a filter:

WHERE DISPLAYDATE NE '';

But it's difficult to help when you just gives us a DEFINE line.

Also, you really need to do some reading and/or training on WF... ask your manager, if I remember well the first basic course is only 2 days and will save you a lot of time.
