I am curious if it is possible to create a single condition based on multiple fields. For example if (field1 value = x and field2 >= y)This message has been edited. Last edited by: <Kathryn Henning>,
Sorry I was not clear. I am not referring to report conditions, I was referring to field styling conditions. For example I want to set the background color of my aggregated total to green but there are mutiple conditions that need to be met. All I see is the ability to create conditions based on a single criteria.
John, you did not mention styling in your original post.
Very unfortunately, the WHEN attribute in WebFOCUS style-sheets must have only one condition.
The only way to circumvent this is to COMPUTE NOPRINT a field that contains the multiple conditions, and use that in the WHEN attribute. Something like this:
COMPUTE CONDITION1/A3 = IF field1 EQ 'x' AND field2 GE 'y' THEN 'YES' ELSE 'NO'; NOPRINT
...
TYPE=DATA, COLOR=RED, WHEN=CONDITION1 EQ 'YES', $
This can get messy. I have a situation at the moment where I need to set the background color of data rows based on the value of a column. I also need to change the colour of the cell values when the amount is less than zero. Additionally, I want a drill-down on the data cells. I can't get all three to work. Unlike CSS, WebFOCUS style-sheets are not cascading - changing the order of the style declarations changes what gets applied, which I believe to be ridiculous.
