I have started having the following error message when I try to create a new master file from an excel spreadsheet. Everything had been working fine.
"An HTTP 500 error has been returned while processing the web components"

There could be 2 reasons for this error:

1) If you were trying to create the masterfile through "Synonym" and if it is returning this error then there could be some huge agents running at WebFOCUS server side. Solution: Contact your WebFOCUS Admin and try to clean the agents and then give a try.

2) If you were trying to create the masterfile through "Upload Data File" and if it is returning this error then I suspect that your excel spreadsheet has a huge data init?
Solution: Just have a few sample of data in your excel spreadsheet and they try to create the masterfile from it.
