I have a sample scatter graph with the code below: TABLE FILE CAR SUM RETAIL_COST DEALER_COST BY CAR ON TABLE HOLD AS GRAPHCAR END
-*INTERNAL_PROPERTIES$SampleData=false;OBJECTID=GLOBAL -*INTERNAL_PROPERTIES$GlobalRecordLimit=500;OBJECTID=GLOBAL -*INTERNAL_PROPERTIES$FieldDisplayMode=label;OBJECTID=GLOBAL -*INTERNAL_PROPERTIES$PrefixDisplayMode=;OBJECTID=GLOBAL GRAPH FILE GRAPHCAR -* Created by Advanced Graph Assistant SUM GRAPHCAR.GRAPHCAR.RETAIL_COST BY GRAPHCAR.GRAPHCAR.DEALER_COST ON GRAPH PCHOLD AS HOLD FORMAT PNG ON GRAPH SET BARNUMB OFF ON GRAPH SET 3D OFF ON GRAPH SET VZERO ON ON GRAPH SET GRID ON ON GRAPH SET GRMERGE ADVANCED ON GRAPH SET GRMULTIGRAPH 0 ON GRAPH SET GRLEGEND 0 ON GRAPH SET GRXAXIS 1 ON GRAPH SET HAXIS 770 ON GRAPH SET VAXIS 405 ON GRAPH SET UNITS PIXELS ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH SCATTERS ON GRAPH SET GRAPHSTYLE * setReportParsingErrors(false); setSelectionEnableMove(false); setMarkerDisplay(true); setConnectLineMarkers(false); setConnectScatterMarkers(false); setX1LabelDisplay(true); setX1AxisSide(0); setX1MajorGridDisplay(true); setX1MajorGridStyle(0); setX1MinorGridDisplay(false); setAxisAssignment(0,0); setSeriesType(0,0); setY1LabelDisplay(true); setY1AxisSide(0); setY1MajorGridDisplay(true); setY1MajorGridStyle(0); setY1MinorGridDisplay(false); setTextFormatPreset(getY1Label(),-1); setTextFormatPattern(getY1Label(),"#.##"); setPieFeelerTextDisplay(1); setPieLabelDisplay(0); setTextFormatPreset(getPieSliceLabel(),1); setRiserBorderMode(1); setSeriesDefaultTransparentBorderColor(true); setUseSeriesBorderDefaults(true); setLegendDisplay(true); setFontSizeAbsolute(getY1Title(),true); setFontSizeAbsolute(getY1Label(),true); setFontSizeAbsolute(getY2Title(),true); setFontSizeAbsolute(getY2Label(),true); setFontSizeAbsolute(getX1Title(),true); setPlace(true); setDataTextPosition(1); setDisplay(getDataText(),true); setDataTextTemplateScatter("CAR"); ENDSTYLE ON GRAPH SET STYLE * TYPE=REPORT, ORIENTATION=PORTRAIT, SQUEEZE=ON, $ TYPE=REPORT, FONT='TIMES NEW ROMAN', SIZE=10, GRID=OFF, $ ENDSTYLE END
As you can see, right now, I put a text field "CAR" AS THE data lable, is there a way to replace that to the real car value? Like: Like AUDI, BMW, TOYOTA, etc?
How to do that?
Thanks,This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
What you want to do is not possible with a scatters graph. Please check pages 304 and 305 on graph manual DN4500708.0909. You can only use a text string (which you did with the word CAR) or a computation using the X and Y values for the graph. You can create the scatters graph but not with the data text labels you desire.
Cheers,
Kerry
