Does anyone know if it is possible to do the equivalent of a sub query using the Report Assistant tool? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

I know what a subquery is and you can't even do it in the Report Painter. You have to write the subquery as a separate TABLE and use data from the parent query, for instance using a WHERE IN FILE phrase, to limit the results. Then you can join the results of the parent and subquery together.
the procedures become much more linear and you don't have to work 'inside-to-out' to work out what code is doing
there is something similar in the &dummy command but its used for populating drill-downs...works on a similar principle but for your purposes look into hold files
Developer Studio 7.64 Win XP Output: mostly HTML, also Excel and PDF
