Does anyone know if there is a way that you can delete Report Caster Log file programmatically using WebFOCUS? If so, what access rights would the user need? This message has been edited. Last edited by: wdusbank,

In Report Caster Configuration there is a setting for default log retention. The problem is that it applies to all Report Caster jobs. Back in Dec of 2011 I put in a NFR for log retention at the job level. I was told it would be in Ver 8 but I don't think it is there yet. Our retention is set at 14 days which is inadequate for some jobs and far too long for others. We have jobs that run hourly 24/7 and one that runs every 10 minutes 24/7. We don't need 2 weeks of log files for these jobs. But I would keep the most recent file for jobs that run annually or semi-annually.
