Yes, I'm a newbie.

I'm working on a drill down report that involves a links in an HTML setting. When I click the link, instead of getting the information for that particular link, I get the information for all the links. I know this is something simple, but I can't figure it out. Here's the source:

Can you show us rpt_base.fex as well?

Also, can you show us the html link tag that gets created for the drill-down when you run this focexec?

In my experience it's easier to make the mistake in the target of the drill-down, where you misspell the incoming field name or don't apply it right. Easy enough to do.

And -- a peek at the html that the drill-down generates is useful for figuring out which side of the divide you mis-coded.

I tried posting the HTML but inadvertently posted some info I'm not sure should be public. I deleted the post and am thinking I should do some more research on Drilldowns and approach the task with a little more knowledge. I greatly appreciate your willingness to help. I'm sure I'll be back.

You need to use the incoming variable to limit your search. Something on the lines of

WHERE FIELD1 EQ &LOCCATDSC2

That's the variable you're throwing, you need to catch it in the target and use it. Whatever field you define in the calling fex's drill-down will appear in the target as an amper-variable.
