[CLOSED] webQuery with WebFOCUS and/or Info Assist
Hi all, we are finally tearing down the outhouse and getting indoor plumbing installed!!! yeah!!
Well actually, we are finally upgrading our main server and will upgrade to 7.x.x ( not sure which version we will get, but I know it will not the latest release, probably I step down which I think is 7.6.7)
My boss is still interested in webquery for our end users (sales people), which I believe is no longer an option when upgrading to V6R1 Iseries OS. A couple of years ago when we upgraded our retail box, he had it installed and it corrupted webFocus.
My question is this, has anyone installed both and is it even necessary? (I don't think it is, and I tried to explain the idea of report objects and how that could achieve nearly the same thing, but he wasn't a believer) Also, how does info assist fit into this role?
I'd appreciate any and all experiences/comments.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Lloyd,

Found what I needed, took forever but I finally came across a document stating that they cannot coexist.

I don't know why you'd continue to use WQ if you have a version of WF. WF Report Assist is a suped-up version of WQ anyway, so it's all the same functionality. What is the reason for this need?
