[Solved] Populate drop down list with values from two fields
Hi I am new to WebFocus, so I don't even know if what I want to do is even possible.
I am trying to get a drop down list on a html page to contain values from two different fields. I want it to have the name of a term and the term code displayed together (e.g. Spring 2013-201320).
Is this even possible or should I just stop wasting my time on it?

You can put whatever you want in the option values of a dropdown list. How are you populating this list box, via XML or by creating option tags? Let me know and I can provide the appropriate example.

sure, of course. you write a fex to populate the list say the variable you want to pass is called CODE and it is /A4 and its description field is /A15, then DEFINE FILE MYFILE displayname/A20=CODE | '-' | CODENAME ; END TABLE FILE MYFILE BY CODE BY displayname ON TABLE SET HOLDLIST PRINTONLY ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT XML END
