CSS style for multi-drilldowns and HTML Composer calendar controls

From searching the files on the server, it seems:

  • The stylesheet for WebFOCUS reports multi-drilldowns is Drive:\ibi\WebFOCUS77\ibi_html\javaassist\ibi\html\js\multidrill.css
  • The stylesheet for HTML Composer calendar controls is Drive:\ibi\WebFOCUS77\ibi_html\javaassist\ibi\html\maint\dyncalendarcss.

I'd like to know if this is true. Is seems modifying these two files is the only way to change the styling for multi-drilldowns or calendar controls.

Thanks,

Francis

Here is a technique that I posted some time ago for styling the multidrilldowns.

Not sure if it works for all browsers.

You may be able to use this for the calendar, depending on how its rendered.

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT CAR
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM OFF
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
 TYPE=DATA,  COLUMN=CAR,
             DRILLMENUITEM='Styled Multidrill',
             FOCEXEC=EG_CUSTOM_MULTIDRILL_STYLING(Car=CAR), $
END

-RUN

-HTMLFORM BEGIN
<style>
<!--
/* Custom Multidrill Styling */
DIV.clsMDMenu {
	background-color: #FFFF00;
	position: absolute;
	visibility: hidden;
	padding: 2px 2px 2px 2px;
	border: 2px solid outset;
	z-index: 1000;
}
DIV.clsMDMenu A {
		font-family: arial;
		font-size: 10pt;
		text-decoration: none;
		color: #3300FF;
		font-weight: bold;
}
DIV.clsMDMenu A:hover {
		font-family: arial;
		color: #003399;
		text-decoration: underline;
}
DIV.clsMDMenu A span {
		font-family: arial,sans-serif;
		font-size: 10pt;
		text-decoration: none;
		color: #3300FF;
		font-weight: bold;
	}
DIV.clsMDMenu A:hover span {
		font-family: arial,sans-serif;
		color: #003399;
		text-decoration: underline;
	}

 -->
</style>
-HTMLFORM END

Waz...

You can override those styles by including them in your own stylesheet (or by loading a separate one, whatever you prefer).

Thanks for reminding me that I originally had the intention of replacing the default styles, they're ...not very pretty...

Here's what I currently have, adjust to your needs:
div.clsMDMenu {
	background-color: #d0d0d0 !important;
	border-width: 1px 2px 2px 1px !important;
	border-style: solid !important;
	border-color: #f0f0f0 #404040 #404040 #f0f0f0 !important;
	padding: 4px 0 !important;
}

div.clsMDMenu a {
	margin: 0;
	padding: 0;
	width: 100%;
	display: inline-block;
}

div.clsMDMenu a,
div.clsMDMenu a:hover,
div.clsMDMenu a:active,
div.clsMDMenu a:focus {
	border: none !important;
	outline: none !important;
}

div.clsMDMenu a,
div.clsMDMenu a:hover {
	color: black !important;
	font-family: Arial, sans-serif !important;
	font-size: 10pt !important;
	font-weight: bold !important;
}

div.clsMDMenu a:hover,
div.clsMDMenu a:focus {
	background-color: #000080 !important;
	color: white !important;
	text-decoration: none !important;
}

div.clsMDMenu a span,
div.clsMDMenu a:hover span,
div.clsMDMenu a:focus span {
	font-family: Arial, sans-serif;
	font-size: 10pt;
	font-weight: bold;
	text-decoration: none !important;
}

div.clsMDMenu a span {
	color: black !important;
	display: inline-block;
	padding: 2px 8px !important;
}

div.clsMDMenu a:hover span,
div.clsMDMenu a:focus span {
	color: white !important;
}

There's some necessary repetition in the above, as those styles got defined in the default drillmenu.css and we need to override those styles back to sane values Wink

EDIT: I found that sometimes the above css gets loaded before the multidrill.css, which would cause that one to re-apply some of its styling. I updated my stylesheet with !important qualifiers to fix that.

Thanks very much to both Waz and Wep!

Perhaps I can use this method to override the annoying padding that HTMLCSS=ON generates.
