Thought I'd share something I just found was available as of 8.2. Not sure if regex were a thing before this, but feel free to take a look! I'm stoked. Also, I see there are few others as well.

I very nearly created a ranting post and question the other day because I was banging my head against the wall trying to get STRREP to work. Seems one needs to be a rocket scientist to use it sometimes. Does this new REPLACE function simplify that?

If you look at the documentation you'll see that it does. Instead of 8 required parameters, you only need the 3 that really matter to the user, finally.
