Just thought of this situation:Suppose i want to display a column value starting with '0'.

DEFINE FILE CAR
DCOST/D7 = IF DEALER_COST EQ 25000 THEN 0025000 ELSE DEALER_COST;
END

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT
DCOST
WHERE CAR LIKE 'MAS%';
END

Here i'm trying to display '25000' as '0025000'. But i'm not able to get those zeroes in the beginning.

I'm able to display '0' at the beginning in decimals (like 0.25) by using this command SET CENT-ZERO=ON.

Similarly for whole number, is there any way to display '0' in the beginning (like 025)

Change the code to include the L - show leading zeroes.

This is FOCUS 101.

A quick check of the edit options of the field would have shown you then L for LEADING ZEROS.
