FYI, we found that java 1.6.0._03 is the latest version of java that MRE 765 will work with, so if you have java set to auto-update on your desktop, faites attention. 1.6.0_05 will give you ageda up the gazzink. Anybody having any other experiences?

I already had to roll back as it was causing issues on our 5.3.6 accesses. Hadn't had any on the 7.6.4, wonder why the backwards movement? Or did I just not encounter any issues when it was installed.
Ah the joys of change.

In WebFOCUS Newsletter April 2007 Volume 8 Issue 2, there is a section (page 12) that talks about known issues primarily with Windows Vista requiring Java 1.6 and the fact that WF 7.6.1 (latest at the time) was only certified with Java 1.5.
I don't know if the certification has been advanced for Java 1.6 yet?
Thanks for the Heads Up S!

Interesting. I have 1.6.0_05 and have not experienced any issues. Had an initial problem with certificates and ReportCaster, but since I got that resolved, no problems. However, we are on 7.1.6 MRE. Strange that it would work with an older version of WF but not a newer one. Additional note, we have NOT moved to Vista - there may be an issue there, as Tony suggests.

Darin
