Hi All

In the existing master file (a table from teradata), i want to add an extra column say the sum of two other columns how can i achive that using synonym editor.

1. Can that be done in the same master file / should be done in a master file which we need to define that as a new segment ?

to rephrase the above,

I need to create a separate master file with a set of aggregate fields in it which is derived from the existing master files so that i can reuse in multiple reports. how can this be achieved ?

In the synonym editor for the master concerned
create the define using the define tool.
There is no need for a new master.
