I want to disable the links at the bottom of the default html page that opens when a user has an invalid log in ID to dashboard. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Wendy,

You can make changes to the \ibi\WebFOCUS77\worp\conf\bid-config.xml file. However, since we don't document all of the entries in this file, I would like to recommend opening a case at InfoResponse Online to work with someone on this.

Regards,

Kathryn

I did open a case on InfoResponse online and they suggested I open it as a question on Focal Point. Kind of going in a circle isn't it?

It does seem ridiculous that TS suggests FP.

Make a backup of the file.

Edit the file and comment out the links for the appropriate error message (there is a block of xml for each MRE/BID error (here is 19113) :

Change
  <error-redirect error-context="19113">
    <context-redirect url="&ERROR;" hrefs-per-row="5">
      <href src="&MPV;" text="mpvHREFTextShort" context-asset="true" localize-text="true"/>
      <href src="&LOGIN;" text="loginHREFTextShort" context-asset="true" localize-text="true"/>
      <href src="&WELCOME;" text="indexHREFTextShort" context-asset="true" localize-text="true"/>
    </context-redirect>
  </error-redirect>
to
  <error-redirect error-context="19113">
    <context-redirect url="&ERROR;" hrefs-per-row="5">
      <!--
      <href src="&MPV;" text="mpvHREFTextShort" context-asset="true" localize-text="true"/>
      <href src="&LOGIN;" text="loginHREFTextShort" context-asset="true" localize-text="true"/>
      <href src="&WELCOME;" text="indexHREFTextShort" context-asset="true" localize-text="true"/>
      -->
    </context-redirect>
  </error-redirect>

Save the file.

Try triggering the error.

To enable the change, after saving the file, you may have to "clear the cache" - go to the Client Admin Console (http://your-server:8080/ibi_apps/console/webfocusconsole.jsp) and click on Clear Cache.

If this works you can carefully add your own HTML to customize the error page(s). (We may have to worry about 'hrefs-per-row="5"'...)
