FOC258 error when using Multi Drill Paths
Hello,

Does anyone have any workarounds for creating multi drill paths and passing multi select parameters? I'm running version 7.6.1. I've been told upgrading will solve all problems; in the meantime, I'm curious if anyone has any workarounds. My drill downs work just fine when using just one drill path. But as soon as a DRILLMENUITEM is used the "UNKNOWN ERROR EDASERVE may have crashed" message appears. I was able to receive better error messages when running from the server which came to be FOC258. I've identified the problem that WebFOCUS can't interpret all the quotes used in the parameters passed in the multi drill down. However, as I pointed out earlier if just a single drill path is used then WebFOCUS can interpret all the quotes passed with the multi select parameter: '''VALUE'' OR ''VALUE2'' OR ''VALUE3'''. However, when using multi drill paths WebFOCUS does not like all these quotes around values 1, 2, or 3. For the multi drill to be successful the following multi select parameter values must be passed with the quotes precisely as they are shown here: 'VALUE' OR 'VALUE2' OR 'VALUE3'. This is the challenge, either I go through an intensive string manipulation exercise to pass the correctly quoted parameter values or maybe there is some other simply answer that I’m missing here. Any thoughts out there?

Thank you.
