EXCEL GRAPH
I have a graph that exports to excel. However excel simply puts it into columns with the data values. Is there a way to force excel to graph the data automatically?

Thanks in advance

Would the Excel template feature in WF 7.1.0 work for you?

I know it's not quite what you wouldlike, but have you tried saving as a gif and referencing that gif in a footing or heading?

That way you could have your data grid as well as an image of the graph. As I say not quite what you want but ......

if you're willing to work from the other direction...let excel run a webquery thru the webfocus engine that refeshes a data table...let some other page in your excel sheet create the graph, reading the datarange of your data table. when you use the excel 'Refresh Data' button, it runs the focus query and rebuilds the datatable, and your excel graph will change accordindingly.

Also check the documentation. There's a whole section about creating WebQueries in the Creating Reports with WF Language manual. Check out the Choosing a Display Format and look at the Excel section. I've written article in WF Newsletter about this as well.

btw, the newsletter doesn't seem to get emailed out. certainly doesn't get mailed out. even the magazine doesn't get mailed, no matter how many times we try to subscribe. Whats the delivery for the newsletter these days? Is it web only?
