Good morning,

I am using version 7.7.03. I am having issues create a PDF report with multiple sections with different layouts. Some sections have the same layout out, but are not next to each other. The customer has the ability to change the order in which the different sections print.

I have tried compound reports, but there is too much space between the sections. Plus, the report layout is not flexible enough to allow the user to change the order of the sections.

Currently, I am using subhead and subfoot for each section. This allows the customer to change the print order, while maintaining the correct layout for the type of data in each section. However, I cannot get the data to print on the bottom 1/4 of the page. I suspect the reason the bottom portion of the page does not print is because subheads only print so far down the page. Which is why I changed some subheads to subfoot. However, since each section has a variable number of lines, longer sections cause a page break before the footers are printed.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Deana

I wish I had a suggestion for you, based on your description this is not the normal set of requirements. Not sure if techsupport would be able to provide any additional answers but it may be worth a try.

Thank you for using Focal Point!
