Hi I want to put a filter on one of the fields (TIMESTAMP) to compare with some values, as shown below: TABLE FILE ABC SUM TEMP_A BY TEMP_B BY TEMP_C WHERE TIMESTAMP GE 'VALUE1' AND TIMESTAMP LE 'VALUE2'
My problem is : what is the format for 'VALUE1' and 'VALUE2'? We have tried using the following formats within quotes: 2007/02/07 09:09:11.270524 20070207 090911270524 20070207090911270524 ETC. Please let me know the format for TIMESTAMP which can be used in the WHERE clause. Also, we tried using WebFOCUS Date-Time conversion functions to get the value of VALUE1 and VALUE2 in SET variables (dialogue manager variables). We were not able to convert the values to SET variables. Let us know a workaround for the same.

Syed : The easiest solution for you would be to define the TS field as A26 in the MFD and use the 26-byte representation in your WHERE clause.
Please search these forums for "Timestamp" and you will see previous threads that dicussed this topic in good detail.

We've also found that the format varies with the database used. For DB2 it is 2007-01-01 23:59:59.999999
