Hi all, I have a procedure that does a comparison of user security access in oracle tables against their ibic_user name, which is then held as format foc. The data in that foc file is being pulled into an html page as a dynamic variable drop down list. Based on the drop down list presented to the user, an imported procedure in that html page runs and returns the correct data to that user.
The problem is that if the user access is updated in the oracle tables that change doesn't carry over automatically into the html drop down list of dynamic variables.
Somehow I need the security access procedure kicked off each time the user runs the html page so they will be given the most current dynamic variables to choose from in the drop down list. Does anyone have ideas, suggestions, help - I feel like I've been going round and round with this. thanks!

I used a suggestion from an old post I found on the forum (I believe it was from Sandy Kadish?) to use -HTMLFORM and create the dynamic variables within my procedure. Using Dev Studio I created an html page with a hyperlink to an external procedure (my fex with embedded -HTMLFORM code) sending output to a new window and it works. Not sure if this is the most efficient way to retrieve the dynamic parameters from the server, but right now its the only thing I can get to work. thanks for the prior posting Sandy!
