We have a report that produces Excel out put that runs perfect in Development and QA. When we promoted it to UAT we started getting an Excel Error message: Excel found unreadable content in file xxx Do you want to recover contents of workbook. When we click yes excel destroys all Alpha fields and creates blank or empty cells. We tried switching to Excel 2000 EXL2K and this works. So we are thinking the problem could be related to how we set up the UAT server. Everything we have checked though appears to be the same. We have reloaded the data. Any thoughts on what we maybe missing would be appreciated. Thank youThis message has been edited. Last edited by: DGraff1,
I would take a look at how your styling the Excel sheet. Maybe there are some things that it doesn't like. I have seen this before as well and usually I start by removing any styling.
We had this same issue. It was resolved by changing the default CODE_PAGE setting on the WF 8.0.07 Reporting Server Console from "437 - US English" to "137 - US English/Western European (Latin1)" and within the WF 8.0.07 Client Administration Console, changing the Code Page selections from "User Defined" and "437" to "137 - US English/Western European".
