Has anyone had trouble with their Developer Studio freezing up? It started yesterday afternoon, when I haven't worked in Developer studio for about an hour or so, then come back and try to save an open document it freezes up in windows! After waiting for about 30 minutes, I'm forced to end the application using task manager.
Then, when I open developer studio again, it freezes when I try to open my Managed Reporting environment. Then I wait half an hour, then I force close it and try again...same thing. Did this all afternoon yesterday and tried rebooting servers/client all the while and still no dice.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Not freezing, it just goes out to lunch (shuts down no save) once in awhile for no reason and occasionally I get a crash with notice. Did you update Java perhaps?

here's the funniest thing... it comes up after about 45 minutes. Shame on me for not being patient and expecting it to open the managed reporting folder in less than 3/4 of an hour.
No, we didn't update java. we were supposed to after the time change, but elected not too as we don't do that much in reportcaster and didn't want to invite any trouble. Speaking of which, I suppose 45 minutes isn't that bad as we're actually an hour ahead three weeks early this year, so technically it's 15 minutes ahead of schedule.
Sorry for the long post but I just clicked on "domains" in "managed reporting" so I've got another 45 minutes or so until I can get back to work.

I've noticed significant delays when there is any sort of communication problem with the WF client machine (due to memory problems on that machine, network traffic, and several other reasons) or if one of the WF Servers goes down (that one is obvious, I think) I also noticed that time to open and/or refresh was significantly decreased when I turned OFF the "Show projects on explorer tree" in Windows>Options>Explorer. We do most of our development in MRE itself, so this would be a problem if you develop locally and then deploy to the web environment.

Darin
