Lilian,

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you want to convert &&X to &X? I mean, you could -SET &X = &&X; though I can't figure why you would need to do that. Have I misinterpreted your question?

well dwf.. the reason is i need to pass the parameters from web caster, and the variable is indeed apply in the dialogue manager and the functions.

probably the question is how to pass the parameter from web caster to the dialogue manager of my main fex file.

thanks

Lilian.

Web Caster... Sorry, Lilian. I have no experience with what you are trying to do.

Did you go into ADVANCED when setting up your fex for Reportcaster and put the parameter values in?

It supplies the varibles as it you were prompted for them. On the left side you put the varible name...do not put the & ,on the right you put what the value should be...no quote marks. Give it a try.

thanks Prarie.

it WORKS!!!!! but i duno if there's a way to interface the parameter section, so that i dont have to type in the variable value instead i put it in the box by
variable.(value1,value2).. that can minimize the human error at the lowest level.
