Synopsis: I have created a file on my departments WebFOCUS domain (e.g. &FAU_DOMAIN_DIR.EVALENCUMFILE which translates into /u10/webfocus/atsdomai/ENCUMFILE)
Can I now FTP that file to another server using report caster or some code within WebFOCUS?
Maybe someone can suggest a better way of doing the following?
I am creating a GURFEED file for BANNER. I need all the rows and then at the bottom I need a "header" row with limited information tallying up the rows above it. All this has to be in a fixed length file format and ftp'd over to another server. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Darryl,
Yes and yes. You can create the file and distribute it with Reportcaster (I think there is a format alpha available in RC) using FTP. You could also include the commands for an interactive FTP session within a fex and executing the fex would ftp the file. I believe there were recent examples posted on the forum of both of these methods. Try using the search tab to find "FTP." I believe Pat Brightwell was the responder to the particular one I am thinking of.

Darin
