Hey,
I am trying to setup WebFOCUS 7.7 reporting server for the first time and I can not follow some of the user guides which refer to the Workspace button.
This is because there is no Workspace button in web console when Webfocus server is running in LDAP security mode. Is this normal or is this indication that something is wrong?

Hi,

We have a 7.703 server running with ldap security and there ia a workspace button/tab.

Did you add yourself as a server admin in access control before starting the server with security ldap ?

If not you may be logging in as a basic user. Click My Console then login info. Check what your role is.

My role is "Basic User" even though I am in the
Server Administrator group under roles. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Seems I figured it out.
I was logging on with "username" and it recognized me as admin only when I logged on with "DOMAIN\username"

Yeah it does that. You can create yourself another entry that is
"username" then you will not need to put the domain\username
