Hello All

I have a strange issue with WebFocus(8.1.05) After I make a change to the Fex and run it, it does not recognize the change I made.. Change in code could be inserting a -EXIT or adding additional code. I run it with @echo = all and I see the code but it reflects the code that was there before I added the changes ...
I have opened a case with IBI but so far no solution..
The work around I have is to rename the fex then it runs the actual fex with the changes..

Thanks

Are you using the FQP in your -INCLUDE? Show that code, please...

You mean: "-SET &ECHO = ALL" not "@echo = all", right?

Are you editing from App Studio ?

I have seen from time to time that App Studio loses connectivity and saved are not done.

That happened to me, but it was in ReportCaster - someone on here recommended that I restart my reportcaster console and that fixed it. Now I make it a point to restart my reporting server, reportcaster console, and clear my cache using the admin console every day.

Maybe you have two copies of your fex and you change the one that is further down in the path?

There is an issue with 8.1.04, where RC keeps a cached copy of executed code.

We have the same issue with RC, have to restart it when we release new code.

Sorry I had to jump to other issues..

The code I have is, starts with
-SET &ECHO = ALL; , lets me see the source view when I run it...

no, I dont have any other version.. when I rename the version, it works... but don't want to keep renaming it...
I am not running in RC, I am running in Developer Studio... I also tried running in a browser using the client, same issue.. Fex (time stamp) does show that it was changed.
Waz, May be the same issue happening in Developer Studio ... I tried exiting developer studio and start it again but same issue... I was about to recycle the server but other developers are on it... but when I come the next day, it finds my new changes and we do recycle server at night.. looks like it is the cached copy that it keeps running. This happens to the fex which is -INCLUDEd not the main/driver fex..

Since I have the experts here .. let me ask another q..regarding WB 7.6.11. When we migrated we could not migrate the RC library which was too big for the IBI's migration process..
Is there a SQL script or a procedure out there that looks at wf7.6.11 ReportCaster library and extracts the reports... We have some users looking for previous year reports and we dont have our wf7.6.11 environment but I do have SQL Reportcaster 7.6.11 Database
if anyone one of you have anything like this, would appreciate much if you can share here

Thanks all for responding
