I am creating a drill down from a graph to a .fex in DevStudio. It works fine if I have the .fex in a folder which is in APP PATH. I am trying to access it from a different folder and using the syntax &IBIAPP_app to specify the folder name. I get an error
(FOC295) A VALUE IS MISSING FOR: &IBIAPP_app

ct_test must be a sub-folder in the apps folder, even if it's not in the APP PATH. If it's not in the APP PATH, you need to APP MAP it first

Wrong answer!

The reason for the error is that WebFOCUS is attempting to translate &IBIAPP_app by looking for a Dialogue Manager variable of that name. WHen you embed an & in non-WebFOCUS code, JS for example, you need to code it like this:

var uri = '/ibi_apps/WFServlet?IBIF_ex=ct-db-today-datastat-drill&|IBIAPP_app=ct_test';
a 'pipe' character right after the ampersand.

I added the 'pipe' character, but to make it work I had to move the IBIAPP_app before IBIF_ex.
