    work·a·round noun
    [wurk-uh-round]
    1. Computers. a strategy or technique used to overcome a defect or other problem in a program or system.
    2. any method used to overcome a technical problem, especially a problem that could prevent success.

We had an interesting issue arise today with the new Responsive Auto Prompting in 8201 and later. Since there is not an option to "Run in a new window" like in the older auto prompting, you cannot right click the html output and successfully Save As... the html page. When you reopen the saved page, all that's there is the word "undefined."

I did find out though that you can control the auto prompting right in the code of your procedure to change the auto prompting back to the older auto prompt page

-<describe_html>autoprompt_top </describe_html> -* Displays the parameters horizontally at the top of the page and is the default template value.

-<describe_html>autoprompt_top_checked </describe_html> -* Is the same as autoprompt_top, but the Run in a new window check box is preselected.

We could then run the report to a new window and save the report as an html.

More here: https://webfocusinfocenter.inf...urce/auto_custom.htm

I guess when all else fails, regression becomes progression.... Here's to hoping that IBI adds the "Run in a new window" option to the responsive auto prompting in the near future, but I won't hold my breath. Wink
