According to google search:
SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is an umbrella standard that encompasses profiles, bindings and constructs to achieve Single Sign On (SSO), Federation and Identity Management.
OAuth (Open Authorization) is a standard for authorization of resources. It does not deal with authentication.
Surely this would be one for Techsupport ?

By OAuth he probably meant OpenID. There's some kind of relationship between them http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OAuth Probably interested in letting people login with their google id.

Using OpenID with google accounts was first supported with version 8.1.05 and is also available with 8.2.01. See Chapter 7 of the security and administration guide.
