WebFOCUS Developer Studio provides the ability to develop both self-service and managed reporting applications. In addition it provides access to the MAINTAIN development environment, which allows creations of applications that update the database.
Also available are editions of Developer Studio called MR Developer and Power Reporter. Both of these editions have all the tools in the full Developer Studio package, but neither of them provide the MAINTAIN development environment.
MR Developer also does not provide access to the Projects area, and consequently it can only be used to develop managed reporting applications.
Conversely, Power Reporter does not provide access to the Managed Reporting area and cannot be used to create managed reporting applications. This edition is designed for creation of self-service applications only.
