<J. Guarente-Rider>ReportCaster - run jobs in different Databases
Currently our environment allows WebFocus 7.1 to point to only 1 database for all jobs.
Has anyone developed a process to run jobs in different databases?

N.SelphThe standard way of using WebFOCUS would be to run reporting jobs against multiple data bases, depending on the adapters you bought. It seems like you will have to talk to whoever configured your environment.

In my understanding, the database related with ReportCaster is to save the report jobs, schedule, logs, as well as output files (PDF, Excel, etc) sometimes. To obtain data from multiple database, N.Selph's suggestion is a good way to start with. (Many thanks to N.Selph

RichHIf you are running WebFOCUS 71, then logon to the ReportCaster Admin Console,
http://computer:80/rcaster/main/reportcaster.jspand under the server configuration -> Data Server tab, click on the server list, select new and add the server you would like to use.
