I have this strange problem. About a week ago on my webfocus server the New Atlanta apps server lost its config.
After I did the setup again I had to resync my MRE users/groups with reportcaster.
Everything works fine except for the ReportCaster console. When I try to login to it I get:
Unable to communicate with the Distribution Server to obtain configuration information. Please confirm that the Distribution Server is started and that the values of the Distribution Server server host and port are correct.
But the jobs scheduled in ReportCaster do execute and we are able to schedule jobs to ReportCaster from an external app.
The strange thing is when I open the WebFocus Administration Console and run the Diagnostics --> Verification --> Automatic Utility on the server I get : ReportCaster ReportCaster context root ( /rcaster ) Pass Connecting to the Distribution Server Pass
And After that I can login to the ReportCaster console without any problems.
After a day or so I have to rerun the diagnostics tool again to get into the Rcaster console.
Does any one have any suggestion on what the problem might be?

We had that issue also in the past, although we were on a different version/operating system. I even had openned a case on it, and we got nowhere in resolving it.
