I am creating a report based on a table. This table has 2 reords as an example. There is a field called recordtype that makes the difference between the 2 records. I would like to know how i can make a field visible or no based on the value in the field recordtype.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards.
Majid.

This is what I would do if I were you. I'd either go to the Documentation link on the IBI site or go to Advanced Search and type in/find RECTYPE. In one of those two places you will find a write-up of what we used to do years ago when lots of mainframe VSAM files were defined with rectypes.
See if you can adapt that construct to your current data source. If you can and the structures of your two records are different such that they have different fields, when you specify a field in one rectype row, you won't get the other one.
