I am trying to do something that I would think is simple, but am having a great deal of difficulty. In an Excel report, I would like the subtotal amount to appear one column over instead of right under the data. Is there a simple way to do this?This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

If what you need is the subtotal to appear *before* the group of data to which it corresponds then you cannot accomplish with SUBTOTAL. Only SUBHEAD would help you there.
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
SALES
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE SUBFOOT
"<+0> <+0> <ST.SALES"
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=TABFOOTING, HEADALIGN=BODY, $
ENDSTYLE
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K
END
<+0> is a spot marker, it works in conjunction with headalign.
