[SOLVED] Footing Missing When Saving to Alpha Format

I'm trying to dynamically generate a SQL WHERE statement using WebFOCUS and saving it to a file using ON TABLE HOLD FORMAT ALPHA. I'm using a FOOTING to generate a closing parenthesis because I only need one at the end of the statement, but WebFOCUS is not saving it to my output file. Is it normal that footings are not saved when using the ALPHA format?

Headings, footings, subtotals do not get saved in an ALPHA format.

I would add the closing parenthesis in the code where you use the ALPHA file. Let us know how the file is used - maybe we can help.

That would assume that you previously have populated the value of &RECORDS (using a HOLD file) as the value of that parameter is not available until AFTER a particular procedure has completed.
