We just recently switched to WebFOCUS 7.6.5. from 5.3.2.
We noticed that when users create MRE report using the Reporting Assistant tool, the code would refer to the field names with the qualified master name and the table name.
Is there anyway to turn off qualifier naming from the reporting server? We don't want qualifer names because occasionally we are required to switch table names from the master file behind the scene.
Thanks.

Steven, Unfortunately there is no way to disable the use of fully qualified field names in the Report Assistant.
The only option that you have in your case is to recreate the synonym renaming the new master to the old name
In the server create synonym page when you select the check box next to the master you want you can edit the Default synonym name just by over typing it.
